EMWATER

The project aims to highlight innovative solutions in wastewater treatment and wastewater re-use in the target countries of Turkey, Jordan, the Lebanon and Palestine.

A more specific aim is the strengthening of regional co-operation through the creation of networks among the experts as well as through cross-border knowledge transfer.

Additionally, the project works to strengthen capacity-building through local and regional training programs and the development of regional policy guidelines for wastewater treatment and re-use in the region.

Geographical scope

The target areas are the following rural or peri-urban areas in the Mediterranean partner countries:

- Turkey, Peri-urban area of Istanbul
- Jordan, Mafraq area
- Lebanon, Koura area - Jbeil (Byblos)
- Palestine, Birzeit / Albiereh
